angel, later being scared of him, & then actually showing great compassion for him. The way I see it, the only way she & Erik could be together would be if something happened to Raoul on their way to the altar. But in this version of the story, that didn't happen.

..um...why have you created this weird after story for the phantom and meg? lmao... what makes the phantom of the opera so compelling and heartbreaking is his obsession and love for christine, and christine alone...'learn to be lonely', the song at the end of the movie, is written to force the fact that he will never love again, and will never bel oved again .. hahah. this is so weird and wrong!

I have never been to a theater so of course I picture Gerard as my phantom. I also enjoyed Charles Dance's version and Lon Cheney's though Cheney's is just supposed to be a monster. I do not like to see deformed people portrayed as such. I really change the story in my newer fan fics were both Buquet and Piangi live. I detest violence so I only have Erik kill the Gypsy who imprisoned him.

its funny how you mention 'freedom of speech', but then go on to say 'keep your comments to yourself'.what about my freedom of speech? im alowed to express my opinions. youtube is after all a public domain, and the comment box isnt just there for people who agree with your songs message. its called an opposing arguement, and its something that i am entitled to. i realise that your just standing up for what yrself, but you could atleast try to do it without sounding like a hipocritic shmuck.

Many people believe this could happen.The fact remains Christine did not Erik she loved Raoul. Erik scared her, he decieved her, she thought him monsterous. Why not believe someone else would see him different and even be obsessed with him. It is called Alternative Universe People. It is also called imagination. It is also called Free Speech. I found Raoul's love for Christine as pure and innocent more suiting for Christine. In my mind I dare not not touch that. Also Madame Giry knew Erik therefore I concluded sometime or another Meg who seemed quite curious may have meddled in her mother's room discovering things about Erik or maybe her mother told her things. In my fan fiction when Meg screams every time Erik is about it is an act or something her mother told her to do. Anyway this is all alternative universe. Leroux owns Erik.

Agreed. When I read the original novel, I did not picture Gerard Butler (the Erik I knew first) or even the wonderful Michael Crawford. I haven't seen the silent version yet with the great Lon Chaney, but I understand that this is why the story lives on today - because his producer was looking for a story for the man of a thousand faces - lucky for us! :)

I agree to a degree. As far as I know, the movie is the only version that ends this way, unlike the novel. I saw an opening for Meg here. Raoul & Erik were alive after Christine died, & the Phantom had obviously & respectfully stayed out of their lives. But he could have been with Meg. She went after him - she was curious about Christine's great tutor - the movie did a good job of setting up the possibility for them being together. Christine & Raoul were good together, & she

I think he and Meg would really have gone together well, and I have fantasized about it as well, but this is quite frankly pretty strange. Maybe find a different way to portray your story.
