As a caucasian who has liked PE since the 80's as well, I'll tell you I don't see them as racist, but merely that things are STILL not right in the USA as far as racial equality and tolerance. I agree...Maybe not racist but still...It is unusual for whites to like a group like PE..They are just so raw and in your face..Love em.
