No they didnt, they got caught on Get Your Wings. Two studio pros, Jack Wagner and Steve Hunter, did the solos on that record. It came out around 2000 in a guitar magazine. Its even mentioned in Wikipedia. These two pros did a lot of work for Jack Douglas. But I know that other records were fudged too. Just the pros didnt come out and admit it on those records. Cant you see the difference between CBS and Geffen years?

I know someone who was an engineer/producer 10 years ago and he told me that Aerosmith was thinking of redoing many of there solos on songs due to the studio musician thing. Look, did you ever wonder why they sound so different during the Geffen years? Its because of the different producer/studio musician combos.

First four..? And how do you know this..? I knew they had Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter doing solos on Get Your Wings, but the first four? Brad and Joe (when the latter wasn't too stoned) played some kick-ass solos live, but were they just so terrified in the studio? Perry could sure use a "stunt" now, his playing has gone down the toilet big time.

Joe and Brad played all their own parts on all the records. They sounded bad in concert in the 70s because (1) they were playing sheds and (2) they were fucked up beyond all recognition.
